Tami Neilson

She’s a little bit of country, soul and rockabilly all rolled into an award-winning mix of Dynamite!

Ex-Canadian, now a New Zealander, Tami Neilson’s latest album Dynamite! is getting rave reviews. That’s not unheard of - she’s won the NZ Music Awards' ‘Best Country Album’ in 2009, 2010 and 2011, and the NZ Country Music Awards' ‘Best Female Artist’ in 2010 and 2011. Tami started her musical career as a young girl touring Canada with the Neilson Family band.

The first NZ On Air-funded song off Dynamite is pure class. Check out Walk (Back To Your Arms). The album was recorded at The Sitting Room in Lyttelton and produced by Delaney Davidson and Ben Edwards.

Tami received a $10,000 Making Tracks grant to record the song Walk and make the music video.

You can find out more about Tami on her website or follow her on Facebook and on Twitter.

And check out this review in the NZ Herald.

This world-class album is a major statement from an artist at the top of her lyrical and vocal game.
