Taite Music Prize

The Taite Music Prize recognises outstanding creativity for an entire collection of music contained on one album.

Named after the late highly regarded music journalist Dylan Taite, 2017 is the eighth year for the award.

NZ On Air is an Official Partner of the Awards, which are run by Independent Music NZ. It fits with our role supporting and championing local music, and adding to the diversity of local music available.

In 2017, again, the majority of artists nominated as finalists are NZ On Air supported artists and we are pleased to see their music being appreciated and celebrated by NZ audiences.

Congratulations to this year's finalists:

Aaradhna with Brown Girl
Hopetoun Brown with Look So Good
Lawrence Arabia with Absolute Truth
Leisure with Leisure
