The best way to emotionally connect with a song is to see it live.

From time to time, to help broadcasters make a connection with music or 'get' a song or an artist, we put on industry showcases. These showcases have always been an important part of the promotions work we do at NZ On Air Music, giving radio and music television broadcasters the opportunity to see acts play live and get excited by the music and go on to add these artists to their playlists.

Seeing an act live can be the tipping point.

To celebrate NZ Music Month during May this year, NZ On Air Music joined with the Radio Broadcasters Association (RBA) and The Radio Bureau (TRB) to put on 'The Radio Show'. This showcase gave the music broadcast media a chance to see live three-song sets from Villainy, Benny Tipene, Jeremy Redmore, Lizzie Marvelly and Doprah.

Here is Doprah performing 'Love That I Need' on the night. Steven Marr and Indira Force are a trip hop duo from Christchurch and have signed to local label Arch Hill Records for the release of their debut self titled EP. Doprah also have a Making Tracks funded video for 'Stranger People'.
